Snowfall

City streets grow silent
From falling snow
Making clearer the voices
That speak only in whispers
Agenda laced footsteps
Crunch in deafening tones
Leaving dirty trails
As landmarks of twisted truths
Vision is vivid in winter’s quiet
As moonlight gives life
To a bed of silence
It screams while it blankets the lies
In silence
There is truth in winter
And we are forced to listen
As life is muted and cushioned
Tuning our ear to the voice of the soul
As it speaks in loud whispers
